This evening photography tour is great for exploring the marina and iconic coastline of Portishead harbour, taking in the scenery and drama of this North Somerset gem. Throughout the tour, you will be finding out how to move off auto & how to take control of your DSLR, whilst taking time to get creative.
Starting on Harbour Road at Lucy Glendinning’s Flying statue, we take in the marina looking at the different composition possibilities and camera techniques as we make out way to the lock gates and views’ of estuary. Each location offers the chance to capture the modern and historic whilst learning specific photographic skills from your own professional tutor.
Moving past the pier and lifeboat station, we visit the rocky cove at the Royal Inn with shutter speed and landscape photography opportunities. Then we circle round through East Wood with its viewpoints over the Marina ending up at the iconic Battery Point and Lake Grounds as the sun goes down.
As we go we will be teaching the core principles of exposure, depth of field & composition and you can consult us at any time for additional specific advice whilst enjoying the freedom to explore the changing light of the golden hour. Finishing at Portishead Open Air Pool Café to share our images.
