Spend the morning exploring how to take great monochrome photos using the simplicity of
B & W to convey mood and emotion. We are surrounded by colour which makes B&W photography so noticeable and dramatic. By stepping into the unreal, partly abstract world of monochrome allows it to stand out as a separate art form.
This powerful creative medium that requires a different approach to colour, find out how to shoot in RAW for tone within the coastal landscape and how to use texture and form to bring your images to life.
The art of black and white photography is visualising our colour world in tones of grey and we share our top tips to equip you to create successful black & white images using the available natural light.

Experiment with different lenses and creative approach to landscape such a focus stacking, bracketing and High Dynamic Range. Find out how to shoot for tone within the Mendips landscape and how to use texture and form to bring your images to life.
Full tuition given on how to use Manual Mode to gain complete creative control of exposure and key fundamentals covered such a selective depth of field and creative use of shutter speed. Including slow shutter motion blur for moving water and vertical panning in the woods, understanding and using filters such as polarising and neutral density.

Gain a good understanding of different lenses including focal lengths and angle of view, and how you choose to the right lens for the chosen genre. Find out how Macro lenses work and how to mimic the effect with creative use of shallow depth of field and careful selection of aperture.
